Philosophical Implications

AFT is an epistemic stance.

Any system whose behavior cannot be reproduced from its inputs and a seed is not a tool but an oracle — and oracles make poor scientific instruments. By forcing every source of entropy through a derivable seed chain, we make the system's ignorance explicit.

A URL is not a pointer. It is a claim. When I send you ?panel=backtest&seed=180057, I am claiming: Under these exact conditions, with this exact entropy allocation, the model behaves as follows. You can verify or falsify this claim by opening the URL. This is Popperian falsifiability applied to adversarial ML.

Every output carries a manifest not for bookkeeping, but for identity. A payload without provenance is noise. A payload with a seed, checksum, and version is data. The manifest transforms the ephemeral into the archival.
